In the center distance is a billboard: "RE-ELECT / JAMES J. / MURPHY / FOR CONGRESS /..." Businesses visible include a Market (the name is not legible); Brower's Hardware; and Carlton Cleaners. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription "17" and a stamped date: "NOV 11 1957."
