Description Original B&W print on cream cardboard mount. Front view of a 3-story brick building. A policeman in uniform stands on the steps of the building, along with two other men and two children. A man is seated inside a window on the first floor, and another man looks out a window on the third floor. A horse-drawn carriage is stopped in front of the building, with a man standing alongside; the horse is tied to a hitching post. There is a fence in front of the building. In the foreground is an unpaved street. Inscription on the reverse of the mount identifies this as the Stapleton police station, 19 Beach Street opposite Union Street.
