Description Original B&W film negative. Diagonal front view of Charlie's Restaurant at 1429 Richmond Avenue in Graniteville, Staten Island. Signs on the front of the store advertise fountain service, home cooking, luncheonette, hot & cold hero sandwiches, and ice cream. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Cybulski / 1429 Rich Ave / 10/2/63 / Charlies Rest / 2 each 6x8 / 3."

Ownership and History Herbert Flamm photographed this same restaurant in 1970. The 1970 photos show that the storefront was remodeled, but the interior did not change significantly. See photos 79.022.2780 and 79.022.2781.
