Ownership and History Alice Austen took this photograph of her friends (from left to right) Julie (Marsh) Lord, Effie (Emmons) Alexander , and Louise (Alexander) Richards. Louise and Effie were sisters-in-law. The women are wearing fashionable hats and coats with leg-o-mutton sleeves (puffed shoulders).
