Description Original glass plate negative. Photo of Angelica (Schuyler) Cooper seated in a wicker chair on the lawn near a house in Bennington, Vermont. She looks directly at the camera. She wears a dress with two large bows on the front of the skirt; she has a shawl around her shoulders, and she wears a cap with a large bow. There is a small basket on the ground near her feet. She appears to have some sort of needlework on her lap.

Ownership and History Angelica (Schuyler) Crosby married John Taylor Cooper in 1859 (her second marriage). She lived in Albany, New York, but spent time in Bennington, Vermont, at the summer home of her daughter, Eliza Snively. Mrs. Snively appears in several Austen photographs.
