Description Original glass plate negative. Interior view of the middle parlor at Clear Comfort, the Austen family home in Rosebank, Staten Island. Furnishings include a grand piano, a day bed, a table, a rocking chair, a cupboard, and a wall mirror. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Cramer / 25 / 796 / Middle room from / left of window / Fine day, fair light / W.L. / 10.25 A.M / 20 ft counted 150 / Wed January 2nd 1895."
