Original B&W print on cream card mount with two gold stripes. Full length portrait photograph of a young woman. She wears a plaid dress with a narrow white collar, large dark bow at the neck, wide sleeves, braid trimming, and a wide full skirt, possibly worn over a hoop or cage crinoline. She rests her right hand on the back of an upholstered chair. Handwritten inscription on lower edge of mount: "Miss L Gillmore S Islan[d]."
