Description Original glass plate negative. Alice Austen stands next to a bicycle on the grounds of Clear Comfort, the Austen family home in Rosebank, Staten Island. A small portion of the porch is visible at right. Alice wears a suit (possibly a bicycling outfit) and a hat which appears to have two feathers on top. A package is tied to the handlebars of the bicycle. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "E.A.A. & bicycle."
