Description Original B&W print. Interior view of St. John's Episcopal Church in Rosebank, Staten Island. The church has a large stained glass window above the altar. Gothic arches and palm trees appear on the left and right with the pews. The altar is decorated with flowers. The flowers are also used to form two signs: "1843" and "1893".

Ownership and History Dr. John Clarkson Eccleston (1828-1912), rector of St. John’s Church, was the father of Trude Eccleston, a close friend of photographer Alice Austen. The church celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1893.
