Description Original B&W print on off-white cardboard mount. Interior view of a room in the Anson Phelps Stokes house "Bay Villa" in New Brighton, Staten Island; the room could be a parlor, a study, or a music room. The room is furnished with a large desk and a small desk, several chairs, a sofa, and a piano. There is a fireplace with clocks and figurines on the mantel. A globe sits on top of the piano, and a birdcage hangs high up on the wall at right. Printed inscription on reverse of mount: "ALMSTAEDT / PORTRAIT & LANDSCAPE / PHOTOGRAPHER / TOMPKINSVILLE, S.I. / PUBLISHER OF PHOTOGRAPHS OF / Staten Island Scenery."
