Acquisition Museum Purchase
Ownership and History Photographer Alice Austen's Aunt Minn married Oswald Muller, a clipper ship captain from Copenhagen, in 1871. Minn frequently joined him in his travels; when not at sea, they resided at the Austen family home, Clear Comfort, in Rosebank, Staten Island.
