Original B&W postcard, mounted on a page in photograph album X17.0003; the album contains photographs of Midland Beach, Staten Island, and is associated with Henry Johnk. Interior view of a restaurant or cafe furnished with wooden tables and chairs; the large room is open to the visible beams of the roof. A group of two men and two women, probably employees, stand near the center, facing the camera. There is a counter at right with a cash register and various equipment. At left, several signs are mounted on the beams above, and on the far wall, advertising goods for sale; inscriptions include: "TEA, COFFEE / AND / [S]ANDWICHES"; "ASSORTED / PIES & CAKES"; "HOT ROAST BEEF / SANDWICH 25 [cents]"; FRANKFURTER / 10 [cents] / CHOWDER 20 [cents]."
