View of charred wood and what appears to be metal debris from a fire. In middle ground at right is a damaged roller coaster, with a small building in front of it and a tall structure, possibly a water tower, at right. Small houses can be seen in the background at left.

Ownership and History The Midland Beach resort suffered a devastating fire on September 26, 1924. An article in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reported that within hours, the massive blaze had "reduced the resort to a heap of smouldering ruins."
