Description Original glass plate negative. Interior view of the parlor at Alice Austen's home, Clear Comfort, in Rosebank, Staten Island. The room has a fireplace with ceramic tiles; the mantelpiece holds several lamps and a pair of urns. The lamps are reflected in the mirror above the mantel. Part of an ornately carved table is visible at left. Seashells and other decorative items also appear in the photograph.
