Description Original B&W postcard, mounted on a page in photograph album X17.0003; the album contains photographs of Midland Beach, Staten Island, and is associated with Henry Johnk. Exterior view of a storefront with three men standing in front, seen from the street; a boy and a small child stand at left. A sign mounted above the entrance has inscription: "DRY GOODS STORE / LADIES / & MEN'S / FURNISHINGS / VENIDA / The Guaranteed / HAIR NET / NOTIONS / CHILDREN'S / WEAR." Another sign projects out over the sidewalk: "[RELIABLE DEPT. STORE?] / DRY GOODS." A closed awning across the front of the building has an inscription along the edge: "GENTS FURNISHINGS / THE RELIABLE DEPT. STORE." A variety of clothing is displayed in the windows.
