Description Original B&W film negative. View of a building under construction. Sign posted next to the building: "A TWO STORY BUILDING / WILL BE BUILT HERE SOON / TO PROVIDE / MORE TELEPHONE SERVICE / FOR NORTH STATEN ISLAND / NEW YORK [the rest of inscription is hidden by construction materials]." The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Lone Star Cement Corp. 3-9-48 / 342 Madison Ave. N.Y.C. / 5 each 8x10."
