Original B&W postcard. Front view of the Princes Bay Lighthouse at Princes Bay, Staten Island. A two-story building (the lighthouse keeper's dwelling) is connected by a short passage to the conical lighthouse tower. The dwelling has an inscription above the middle second-floor window: "1868." Inscription at the lower edge of the image (appears to be handwritten on the negative): "LIGHTHOUSE, PRINCE BAY N.Y." Handwritten inscription on reverse: "Mount Loretto / Light House / on foot of Sharrot Ave / Pleasant Plains / S.I. / N.Y."
