View from an elevated vantage point showing a scene at Midland Beach. In the foreground, a tall pole stands at right, with a man standing on a platform near the top, looking up at a second man above him. A crowd watches from the ground below. The building at center has a painted inscription on its rear corner: "BASKET / PARTIES / SERVED." The beach and a pier can be seen in the background, with crowds of people on both.
