Description Original glass plate negative. Outdoor scene on the grounds of Clear Comfort, the Austen family home in Rosebank, Staten Island. A woman (seen in profile) stands next to a water pump and holds the pump lever. Pitchers and basins also appear in the image; the basin beneath the pump may contain photographic prints. Trees, fences, and buildings appear in the background.
