Description Original glass plate negative. Alice Austen (right), her Aunt Minn, and a man identified as Mr. Langford pose on the porch of the "Quarter Deck" at Clear Comfort, the Austen family home in Rosebank, Staten Island. Aunt Minn wears a brooch shaped like a ship's wheel. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Auntie, Mr Langford / & self." (Keywords: Self Portrait, New York)
