Description Original B&W print. Interior view in an office, probably the Borough President's office in Borough Hall at St. George, Staten Island. Joseph A. Palma stands at right; he is handing a piece of paper across a desk to another man. Four women stand and watch. A sign rests on the desk: "STATEN ISLAND / COMMUNITY CHEST / GIVE MAR. 21 to APR. 1." Stamped inscription on reverse: "WEITZMAN'S PHOTO SHOP, INC. / COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY / 59 & 61 CANAL STREET, STAPLETON 4, S.I., N.Y. / Phone Gibraltar 7-5858." A handwritten inscription in pencil identifies the people in the photo: "Left to Right / Judge C. Ernest Smith / Mrs. E.C. Jenkins / Mrs. E. Chambers Hoppin / Mrs. Eduard C. Meurer / Mrs. A. Benbow Elliman / Joseph A. Palma."
