Description Original B&W film negative. View of buildings on Bay Street near Hannah Street in Tompkinsville, Staten Island. The billboard on the roof advertises Seagram's Seven Crown; the billboards on the building front advertise Isle Fuel Oil Service (left) and Cosmo's Drive-Inn restaurant (right). Below those are three smaller signs: one advertising Richmond Poster Company; one for "RE-ELECT / SIDNEY O. SIMONSON / DISTRICT ATTORNEY;" and a For Rent sign. The building at right has a sign above the first floor: "POST EXTERMINATING CO. / INSECT RODENT & ODOR CONTROL GI.7-7432." The building at left has a sign across the front of the entire building: "Tompkinsville DINER." At far left, the lighthouse of the Robbins Reef automobile dealership is partially visible. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Richmond Poster 11/1/55 / 9 each."
