Description Original glass plate negative. View in Watkins, New York, of a row of horse-drawn carriages with men holding signs offering rides to various hotels and resorts. A two-story building is in the background. Names on the signs include: "GLEN / MOUNTAIN / HOUSE;" "GLEN PARK / HOTEL;" "FALL BROOK / HOUSE;" and "JEFFERSON / HOUSE / FREE BUSS [sic]." The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Stanley / 35 / 356 / Bus drivers / Fine day / W.L. / 11.15 am / 60 ft Inst slow / Sat July 23d 1892 / Watkins."
