Description Original B&W print. Interior view of the parlor at Clear Comfort, the Austen family home in Rosebank, Staten Island. Eight women are playing cards around an ornately carved table; four of the women are seated and four are standing. Alice Austen stands in the center. The woman seated at left is Trude Eccleston, and the woman seated next to Trude (second from left) is Julia (Marsh) Lord. At far left is a fireplace with a mirror above; there are several lamps on the mantelpiece. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Cramer / crown / Lunch club / Flash 1 box & / a half / Feb 26th 1904 / Dull day lamps / lighted."
