Description Original glass plate negative. Frank and Mary Louisa (Alexander) Richards stand on either side of their infant son Junius in a wicker baby carriage; they are in front of a house with a balcony. Inscription "E.A.A" in lower left corner. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Stanley / 35 / No. 547 / Mr Richards, Lou, & baby in carriage / Fine day - sun out / W.L. / 2.30 PM / 12 ft / Inst slow / Sunday May 7th 1893 / Cambridge."

Ownership and History Mary Louisa Alexander was a friend of photographer Alice Austen. She married Frank Richards in November 1891, and their first child, Junius Alexander, was born in 1892. The family lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
