Acquisition Museum Purchase
Ownership and History Fort Ticonderoga is located in upstate New York near Lake Champlain. Built in the 1750s, it was used during colonial conflicts between France and Great Britain, and also played a role in the American Revolution. Today it is preserved as a historic site.
