Description Original B&W print on cream cardboard mount. Diagonal view of a ferry boat arriving in a slip, with water in the foreground; another ferry is partially visible in a slip at right. The ferry at center has inscription "BROOKLYN - STATEN ISLAND" on its side; the other ferry appears to have the same inscription partially visible. At right, a tall structure stands at the entrance to a ferry slip; it has a sign with inscription: "STATEN ISLAND FERRY / SHORT ROUTE TO NEW JERSEY." Typed inscription on paper glued to the reverse of the mount: "TR - 182 / 69th STREET FERRY / Brooklyn Terminal / Looking Northwest from / Shore Road / The Tides coming in / Hamilton in slip / By Herbert L. Van Cott / Nov. 23, 1964."
