Description Original B&W postcard. View of a camp filled with rows of tents, as seen from an elevated vantage point. There is a small wooden building at left with a sign on the side: "CAMP / WARREN." Men, women, and children stand in various places outside the tents; a horse-drawn carriage is stopped alongside a wooden fence. Printed inscription along the top edge: "Birdseye view of Camp Warren, South Beach, Staten Island, N.Y." The reverse side is addressed to Miss Helen McGovern in Kearney, N.J., with message "This is where / we live. / Best regards / Elsie." The postcard has a Rosebank postmark, but the date is not legible. The postcard has a divided back, dating it to 1907 or later.
