Description Original B&W print on gray cardboard mount. View of 20 firefighters in uniform; they are on and around a horse-drawn fire wagon. The 5 firefighters in the front of the group are seated in chairs; each holds a speaking trumpet. Men and children stand on the sidewalk behind the firefighters. They are in front of a row of buildings; at center is the firehouse, with wide open doors; a sign above the doors has inscription: "N.S.F.D. / CASTLETON FIRE PATROL. / No. 1." The building to the right has a striped awning with inscription along the edge: "RUBSAM & HORRMANN'S LAGER BEER." The building at left has a sign for upholstery and chair cane. Handwritten inscription on reverse of the mount: "Castleton Patrol No. 1 / S/s Castleton Ave. / 2 Doors West of Caroline St. / W. Brighton."
