Description Original B&W print on beige cardboard mount, cabinet card format. Portrait photograph of a man in military uniform; he has a mustache and beard, and he is looking toward the right. He has his right hand inside his uniform jacket. Printed inscription below image: "J. Loeffler / JL / Tompkinsville, N.Y. / PERMANENT PHOTOGRAPH / PATENT CHROMOTYPE". Handwritten inscription on the reverse of the mount: "H.G. Gibson / May 22nd 1877". Printed inscription on reverse of mount: "Highest Award / FOR / PERMANENT PHOTOGRAPHS. / NEW YORK, 1877. J.
