Description Original B&W print on cream cardboard mount. Diagonal view of three ferry boats in slips along a pier; a paved road or walkway with a metal railing is seen in the foreground at right. The ferry at left has inscription "BROOKLYN - STATEN ISLAND" on its side; the other two ferries appear to have the same inscription partially visible. At right, a tall structure stands at the entrance to a ferry slip; it has a sign with inscription: "STATEN ISLAND FERRY / SHORT ROUTE TO NEW JERSEY." A similar structure with the same sign is partially visible beyond the ferries. Typed inscription on paper glued to the reverse of the mount: "TR - 180 / 69th STREET FERRY / Brooklyn Terminal / Looking northwest from / the Shore Road / Left to right: / Gotham / Hamilton / The Tides / By Herbert L. Van Cott / Nov. 23, 1964."
