Description Original print with machine or hand coloring. Front view of a large Tudor style building, as viewed from the street. The building is three stories; the center portion is crenelated like a castle and has a turret. In front of the building is a stone wall with a turret and an arched opening. There are several trees in bloom. The photo is mounted on a piece of lavender paper and a beige cardboard mount; the mount has a lavender paper backing that folds over and is adhered to the top front of the mount.

Ownership and History The Actors Fund was established in 1882 as a charity to provide assistance to men and women in the theatrical profession. In 1902, The Actors Fund opened a home for retired entertainers on Staten Island, located on Clove Road in West New Brighton. The home was relocated to Englewood, New Jersey, in 1928, and is still in operation in 2015 as an assisted living and nursing care facility called The Lillian Booth Actors Home of The Actors Fund.
