Description Original B&W print. Diagonal front and side view of a small building on Amboy Road in Pleasant Plains, Staten Island. A sign is mounted over the center double doors: "CITIZENS ENGINE CO. NO 1.," and another sign is mounted over an open door at left: "NEW YORK / PUBLIC LIBRARY / PRINCE BAY STATION / [...]." Two children stand in the doorway; a truck is parked in front. The truck's side and rear doors are open; it has large windows, through which can be seen shelves full of books (a bookmobile). A two-story building is in the background, with a sign on the sidewalk partly obscured by a utility pole: "[C]ASTLES / ICE / CREAM." Handwritten inscription on reverse: "AMBOY RD / PLEASANT PLAINS;" stamped inscription on reverse: "PERCY SPERR."
