Description Original B&W print on cream cardboard mount. View of a slip at the 69th Street Ferry Terminal in St. George, Staten Island, seen from an elevated vantage point. The terminal building partly visible at left. A ferry boat is in the slip at center; the ferry has a sign with inscription: "THE TIDES." Another ferry is arriving in the slip at left; the ferry boat has a sign with inscription: "HAMILTON." Next to the terminal building at far left, a small building with an awning has two signs mounted on roof: "Sealtest / ICE CREAM" and "SNACK BAR." Four people stand near a small booth at the entrance to the slip at right. One car is driving onto the ferry in the slip; other cars are parked near the snack bar and in a lot at far right. Typed inscription on paper glued to the reverse of the mount: "TR-193 / 69th STREET FERRY / St. George, / Staten Island, Terminal / THE TIDES about finished / loading. HAMILTON coming / in from Brooklyn. / By Herbert L. Van Cott / Nov. 6, 1964."
