Title [Beach Park Drug Company]
Object Name Postcard
Date 1924
Collection Staten Island Geographic Collection
Description Original B&W postcard, mounted on a page in photograph album X17.0003; the album contains photographs of Midland Beach, Staten Island, and is associated with Henry Johnk. Interior view of a store with a counter and stools at left. A woman stands behind the counter; a man and a boy are seated at the counter. Behind the counter, there appears to be a large mirror on the wall, mostly obscured by bottles, equipment, an American flag, and various decorations and advertising items. Several advertising items have the inscription "DRINK / Coca-Cola." Several others appear to have the inscription "Breyers" over a leaf shape; these may be ice cream advertisements. At right, two round tables with chairs are partly visible. In the background, items are contained in glass-fronted cabinets or cases.
