Description Original B&W film negative. View of the intersection of Jersey Street and Brighton Avenue in New Brighton, Staten Island. There is a large billboard on the side of a building in the middle distance: "MONROE / JAY / KLEIN / Insurance /..." Businesses that are visible include Dolly's Florist, Brighton Hardware, an Esso service station, and Lieblich Bakery. The original S.R. Smith Infirmary building is visible in the distance. The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Rich Poster / Jersey & Brighton / 11/25/57 / 3 - 8x10." The inscription on the negative sleeve indicates that the client was Richmond Poster. (Keywords: New York City, Twentieth Century)
