Original B&W print on gray cardboard mount. Front view of a two-story building connected to a smaller structure built on the train station platform in Princes Bay, Staten Island; a horse-drawn carriage stands in front of the building. A short flight of steps leads to the platform. A woman can be seen seated by the window inside the station; a man is seated on the platform in front of the station, and other people can be seen boarding the train at far right. The carriage is drawn by one horse; a man sits in the driver's seat. The side of the carriage has a painted inscription: "CARL OHLROGGE. / BEACH HOUSE / PRINCE'S / BAY." Handwritten inscription on the reverse of the mount: "Prince's Bay Station before / re-elevation." (Keywords: New York, Princes Bay) |
