Description Original B&W film negative. View of a freestanding billboard with an illustration of a house. Printed inscription on the billboard: "NEW! / ONE / FAMILY / MODERN / HOMES / 2-3-4 BEDROOMS / ALL / IMPROVEMENTS! / Schools / Churches / Shopping / CONVENIENTLY LOCATED / NEARBY / SYCAMORE PARK / LEIF MYHRE BUILDER." The original negative sleeve has the photographer's handwritten inscription: "Richmond Poster 6/10/55 / Weisglass [sic] Tottenville / Koos Bros [ditto mark] / Sycamore Gt Kills."

Acquisition Gift of Herbert A. Flamm
Ownership and History Sycamore Park was the name of a real estate enterprise in Great Kills, Staten Island, created by local developer Leif Myhre. This photograph was taken for Richmond Poster, which was for many years Staten Island’s primary billboard and outdoor advertising company. The company was one of photographer Herbert A. Flamm’s steadiest clients.
