Description Original glass plate negative. View of the deck of a Staten Island Ferry boat, with men and women seated on benches to the right, and New York Harbor to the left. Several of the people are reading newspapers. The photographer's initials "EAA" are inscribed in the lower right corner of the negative. The original negative sleeve has Alice Austen's handwritten inscription: "Cramer / C / No. 108 / Part of our ferry boat deck / Fine day / 60 ft / D / 10 am / Mon Nov 17th 1890".
