Ownership and History This photograph may have been taken at the Atlantic Terra Cotta Company plant in Tottenville, Staten Island. The man with the mustache who appears at the center of the photograph (seated) has been identified as Herman Guether. Mr. Guether is listed with occupation "Foreman, Terra Cotta" in the New York State census of 1925, which also lists his place of birth as Germany.
