Printed inscription on left border of mount: "I. Almstaedt / TOMPKINSVILLE, S.I." Reverse side of mount has a handwritten pencil inscription in Alice Austen's handwriting: "Monday / Sept. 12th / 1892." Printed inscription on reverse of mount: "I. Almstaedt / Portrait and Landscape / PHOTOGRAPHER, / TOMPKINSVILLE, S.I. / Publisher of Photographs of Staten Island Scenery."
