Description Label for produce crate or can, with caption "FRESH FROM THE FARM." Paper label has chromolithograph illustration depicting a man carrying a basket of tomatoes, next to a sign which reads, "LONG NECK PRESERVING HOUSE / STATEN ISLAND." A large white building is pictured in the background, behind people harvesting tomatoes in a field. At left is a cart drawn by two horses. A red border runs around the image, and a blue band surrounds the caption at the bottom edge of the label.

Biography and History The Long Neck Preserving House may have been located in Travis, Staten Island, an area that was once known by the name Long Neck.
