|Biography and History||Ernest Butts (1872-1953) was the son of Mary Catherine Haughwout and Alonzo Butts. Ernest lived his entire life in the Butts family home at 219 Union Avenue in Mariners Harbor, Staten Island. As an adult, he worked as an engineer for the Staten Island Rapid Transit.|
